Why does the fly climb?

Most flys climb the windows out of insanity, they know nothing more than to climb, to attempt to fly out and to fall down, just to climb again. To them this is life and there is nothing else so they do it without thinking.

But maybe there is a fly that knows the journey up is pointless because there is no way out.

And whether it be at the bottom of the pane or the top, he will die. But he still climbs?!

Why does he climb?

Why not sit at the bottom and enjoy the view out the window and wait for his imminent and near death?

Is there something telling him that if he doesn’t climb he is missing something?

Why get out of bed early? Why not sleep in? No difference does it make?
